Q: Can I do pole dancing even if I am not very strong?

A: YES! Our courses are specifically designed to gradually build up your strength step by step with a variety of moves and strengthening exercises.

Q: Do I need to have any previous dance experience?

A: No previous experience is necessary! We will teach you all of that – and you’ll be surprised by just how coordinated you really are!

Q: What do I wear to class?

A: We recommend that you just wear your normal gym gear – shorts, top and sports bra! We do our level 1 classes barefoot so it doesn’t matter what shoes you wear. If you are doing twerk we recommend you bring volleyball knee pads. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!

Q: Can I try out a class before enrolling?

A: Yes! You can jump in on any level 1 class in weeks 1 and 2 of any term, or we also offer beginners Taste Test classes for $20 in weeks 7 and 8 of every term. See Taste Test classes in our menu for times and dates.

Q: Can I join in half way through the term?

A: We allow people to join in classes at any point in the term if they have done pole dancing before or if they are joining a non-pole class, except for level 1 classes as you will miss out on some very important foundation moves and it will be more difficult to catch up. We do however offer a 4 week Pole Prep class, if you can’t wait until the next term to get started, this course is designed to get you prepared for your level 1 course and runs for the final 4 weeks of our term.

Q: What happens if I miss my class?

A: If you are unable to attend your class one week, we offer you to do a ‘catch up’ class. This means that you can attend any other class to make up that session (you can only do a pole class if it is the same level or lower than what you are currently enrolled in). All catch up classes must be completed before the conclusion of the term of the enrolment and will not roll over to the next term.

Q: How many workouts a week to see improvements?

A: At the beginner level we recommend 1 pole class per week and one non-pole (like conditioning or flexy) per week as your body is still getting used to pole dancing as an activity and these classes are specifically designed to help your body get stronger, fitter, more flexible!

Q: Do I need to buy a pole?

A: No…but if you want one we recommend Pussycat Poles and Xpole. 38-40mm brass is the best!

Q: Do I need to pay in full when I book?

A: If you are paying for the term up front, then you need to pay a 50% deposit to secure your place in the class(es) and then the remainder will be due in the first week of term. Or you can sign up with Ezypay and pay weekly!

Q: When I book a course how many classes do I get per week?

A: When you book one course, you will do one class per week. This class will be the same time and day every week (you will select this day and time when you book your class).
